AG --> No details in the face, hair and the crown of the queen. Only the surrounding of the queen is visible. Few letters and numbers are missing. The date of the coin must be readable.
G --> Few details in the crown of the queen are present. Details in the hairs and in the face of the queen are still missing. All the letters and numbers are now visible and may be hard to read. The date of the coin must be readable.
VG --> More and more details are visible and the crown is entirely visible. Details in the hairs are visible above the ear of the queen. All the letters and numbers are now visible but used.
F --> Lots of details are present in the crown. Hairs above the ear are more clear. All the letters and numbers are easily readable.
VF --> All the details in the hairs are now visible. Details in the face begin to appear specialy above the eye of the queen. Details in the leafs of the reverse also begin to appear.
EF --> All the details in the hair and the crown are very clear. Lots of details are present in the face of the queen. Almost all the details in the leafs of the reverse are visible.
AU --> Lots of details are present in the face of the queen, only small trace of wear is visible on the cheek of the queen. All the leafs of the reverse are very clear.
MS --> An almost perfect coin, only small marks due to transport are visible.
Notes: All the scratches must be consider, if the coin has been bent, it must be also consider and all rim knicks must also be consider. If one side of the coin is more used than the other, the lowest grade is the grade of the coin, (Ex.: if the reverse is Fine (F) and the obverse is Very Fine (VF) the coin grade Fine (F)).
